Where can you host a tasting event?

We can pop corks anywhere! Your home, garden, holiday rental, place of work or an events venue are all great places for a tasting. To put it simply, if you want to sip somewhere special, we’ll do our absolute best to make it happen.

What’s the ideal group size?

We find that 8-12 guests is the "sweet spot" for a fantastic atmosphere. While our experiences are perfect for 8 or more people, we’re happy to host smaller groups too (a minimum spend just applies for 8 people to keep things extra special).

Question 3

How long does the experience last?

We usually find 2 – 2.5 hours is the perfect amount of time to taste, chat, and learn. We’ll just need a little "head start" (up to an hour) to get the venue ready before your guests arrive!

Do you travel to my area?

Accepted Answer

We’re currently bringing the charm of the vineyard to doors in the South East including Sussex, Kent, Surrey and Hampshire. Please note that events located more than 20 miles from RH20 will incur a small additional mileage fee.

Will it be Abbie hosting?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! We take a personal approach at Wine at Mine. Abbie hand-picks every bottle of wine and hosts every tasting experience.

Question 6

Do I need to supply anything?

Accepted Answer

Just the space and your thirsty guests! We’ll handle the rest. We bring everything needed for a perfect pour including professional tasting glasses through to tasting note cards, pens, the wine and all the other necessary bits and pieces. You don’t need to set up, clear up, or wash up anything. This way, you can relax with your guests and have just as much of a fun time as them!

What if I don't know anything about wine?

Then you’re in the right place! Whether you’re a total beginner or already know your Merlot from your Malbec, you’re welcome here. Our tastings are all about laughter, stories, and a bit of friendly competition as you pit your wits against your friends. There’s always plenty of giggling as everyone gets involved and discovers what they love. You’ll pick up some cool tips and tricks along the way, but we prioritise great wine and even better company. If you like drinking wine and having a laugh, you’ve got all the "knowledge" you need!

Can I cancel or reschedule?

We always do our best to help. To lock in your date, we take a deposit with the rest of the payment due three days before we taste. Need to cancel? If you tell us at least two weeks out, we’ll happily give you a full refund (if we can't find a new date that works!) After that, it’s likely we’ll already have started sourcing your bottles, so a refund isn’t always possible. Check out our T&Cs page for full details.

Do you sell the wines we taste?

If you find a new favourite during the tasting, you’re in luck. Abbie always brings a limited number of bottles along on the day just in case you want to snap one (or two!) up right then and there. There is zero pressure to buy anything - we're just happy to share the wine love!

What about food?

Wine at Mine is strictly all about the grapes - but that doesn’t mean we should sip on an empty stomach! Whilst we don’t provide food, we’re more than happy to send over a list of pairing ideas so you can prep the perfect snacks to go alongside our tasting.

What kind of wines will we be sipping?

Abbie hand-picks every bottle and chooses to only bring wines that tell a story. We’ll usually start with some accessible, crowd-pleasing bottles and work our way up to "treat yourself" showstoppers (£50+). It’s the perfect way to sip something fancy you might never usually pick up!

Will there be enough wine?

Don’t worry, you won’t go thirsty. Our philosophy focuses on pouring higher-quality wines that you’ll actually want to savour. Each guest will enjoy a full size welcome glass plus a tasting sample of five delicious wines (averaging about half a bottle each depending on group size).
