Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions for Wine at Mine® tasting events
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all sales, services, and experiences provided by Abbie Bleasby-Voice, trading as Wine at Mine (“we”, “our”, or “us”).
1. General Terms of Use
By accessing our website, making a booking, or attending any Wine at Mine experience or event, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms do not affect your statutory rights. Our liability to you shall not exceed the value of your booking. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or personal or business losses.
2. Booking and Formation of Contract
All event bookings are subject to the acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit (or full payment, as specified below) and written confirmation from Wine at Mine. A legally binding contract is formed upon our written acceptance of your booking via confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse bookings at our sole discretion. It is your responsibility to ensure that the booking details are correct. We will not be liable for loss resulting from your failure to provide accurate information.
3. Payment
A non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of the total event quotation is required to secure the date and event booking. The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than three days prior to the event. If the booking is made within 14 days of the event, the full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept payment via bank transfer.
4. Cancellation and Refunds
-
If a client cancels more than 14 days before the event, the option to reschedule and port the initial deposit across to a new date will be offered. If this is not possible, we will issue a full refund.
-
If a client cancels less than 14 days before the event, 100% of the total event cost is due and non-refundable, as we will have incurred costs and forfeited other bookings.
-
In the unlikely event that Wine at Mine needs to cancel the event, we will offer a full refund or the option to reschedule.
-
Force Majeure: Wine at Mine shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations where such failure is due to force majeure (unforeseeable circumstances that prevent someone from fulfilling a contract), including but not limited to, severe weather, natural disaster, strikes, or governmental actions. In such cases, efforts will be made to reschedule, but no refunds will be guaranteed beyond the actual cost of goods not yet purchased.
5. Event Details and Logistics
-
Guest Count: The final number of guests (the "Final Guest Count") must be confirmed at least 7 days prior to the event. This count will be used for final billing and wine/supply purchasing. No refunds will be provided for guests who do not attend.
-
Venue Suitability: The client is responsible for ensuring the chosen venue has adequate space, seating, lighting, and any necessary permits for a private event. Wine at Mine reserves the right to cancel or modify the event if the venue is deemed unsafe or unsuitable, with no refund issued.
-
Event Duration: The tasting will run for the agreed duration, typically 2-2.5hours. Additional time requested on the day, if possible, will be billed at an hourly rate of £50 an hour and must be paid immediately.
6. Alcohol and Responsibility
-
Legal Drinking Age: Alcohol may only be purchased or consumed by persons aged 18 or over. By booking or attending an event, you confirm that you are of legal age. Alcohol will not be served to anyone under 18 years of age. We operate a Challenge 25 policy and reserve the right to request valid photographic identification and refuse service to any individual who cannot provide this.
-
Responsible Service: Our staff will adhere to all local laws regarding the responsible service of alcohol. We reserve the right to cease serving alcohol to any guest who appears intoxicated or whose behaviour is disruptive or aggressive, without providing a refund.
-
Client Liability: The client is responsible for the conduct of their guests and assumes full liability for any property damage or injury caused by their guests before, during, or after the event.
7. Damages and Liability
-
Damage to Equipment: The client will be held responsible for any damage or loss to the tasting equipment (e.g., glassware, bottles, tasting materials) provided by Wine at Mine caused by the client or their guests. The client agrees to reimburse Wine at Mine for the replacement or repair cost of any damaged items.
-
Limitation of Liability: Wine at Mine's liability for any claim, loss, or damage, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, will be limited to the amount paid by the client for the services in question. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage. Nothing in these Terms shall limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded.
8. Complaints
Complaints must be made within five days of the date of the event. Please contact hello@wineatmine.co.uk and we will endeavour to resolve your complaint in a fair and timely manner.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
10. Privacy and Intellectual Property
-
Privacy: We will only use client contact information to manage the booking and to communicate with the client. Photos taken during events may be used in our marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing. We use cookies and similar technologies on our website to enhance your experience. For more information, see our Privacy and Cookie Policies.

11. Amendments to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time without notice. The current version will always be available on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes your acceptance of any changes.
